I'd like to see Chris Harris make some more stops in Memphis, but I doubt he will seeing as he is one of TNA's top stars now. Why would he need to wrestle in Memphis now?

I tell you what I want to see in Memphis - some angles that last longer than a week or two, logical endings to the existing ones, and some overall intelligent booking. I am not a booker, never been one, and seriously doubt I ever will be, but I honestly believe I could do a better job than whoever is doing it now. They have had so many chances to do some good stuff that they have totally missed the train on. Couple of examples:
The Naturals - these guys had charisma, they had looks, and they obviously know how to work. They could have used them in a young vs old feud with R&R Express. If I were booking, I would've turned R&R into jelous heels, and would have ended the feud in a loser gets head shaved/leaves town match, with R&R losing. I would have then waited a few weeks and brought them back in under masks. Now you can have the feud all over again, with the masks being the twist. R&R would've had a manager, and this time they shave the Naturals' heads with the help of an ether-soaked towel. After a few more matches, R&R would've again been run out of town. The Naturals would be super heroes. Then comes the next turn, they come out on TV and point out that while they were uncouncious from the ether and getting their heads shaved, none of their so-called friends came out from the back to help them. Now they revert to the heels they started out as, and we've got a whole new story line to pursue. Mind you, this would've taken place over several months, maybe even as much as a year.
Kevin White - I believe White can be the next top face here. It could have happened with a great teacher vs student feud with Dundee that Lawler as a heel would've gotten pulled into. Instead, they can't make up their minds what to do with White or Dundee.
Reggie B. Fine - I thought they were finally going to make Reggie into a serious wrestler - I think it would work either as a heel or a face. Instead they go back to the same old schtick.
I think they need to drop the whole XWF/CEO stuff. They need to have one individual portrayed as the match maker, and his word goes.
They also need to stop acting like the WWE is the major league, and Memphis is just a warm-up. I don't want to turn in to Memphis wrestling and see Maven, or HHH or anybody else from "up there".
I don't think Memphis, or any other territory for that matter, will ever achieve what it did during its glory days, but I do believe there's potential for the guys to have some long-term success. I think in order to do this, they need to got to a weekly live show from the studio, with each show setting up a regular weeknight show in a dedicated location. It doesn't have to be a huge place, but it needs to be in the same place on the same night each week. With some solidly established faces and heels, and some reasonably believable story lines, Memphis wrestling could become an institution here again.

Another few folks I'd like to see in Memphis are the following now that I think of it:
I'd like to see more of April Pennington. I don't care what she's doing. Maybe put her back in that hot little red bikini number, and let her manage the Lifeguards again. I'm all for that.
I'd also like to see more of some of the younger guys that have went through Memphis Wrestling.
The Naturals were/are a good tag team. Memphis would be very smart to get these guys to work shows for them.
Why not a tag team feud between The Naturals and The Lifeguards?
I think that'd be a great feud between a pair of good up and coming tag teams.
I'd also like to see more of Koonta. I like his work ethic. He's there every week, regardless who is off doing who knows what else. The show needs more guys like him.
Let's do drop the XWF thing. It died in 2001. If Shock's your World Champion, you are in a mess in my book.
I think the show can be entertaining. I, mean, here is the studio giving you time an a place to wrestle. This Memphis Wrestling has a great chance to suceed. They are with some great opportunities. They just have to establish themselves as a weekly wrestling show instead of a Jerry Lawler/Jimmy Hart informercial each week.

Corey Maclin needs to follow through with angles/storylines instead of one week it's this and the next week it's that....
Do away with the XWF angle as it has defiently ran it's course next week will be the one year anniversary and there still doing the XWF angle... USWA didn't even run the USWA/ SMW angle that long after SMW folded... Do away with the XWF belts it makes no sense to have the belts used on Memphis tv it's a company that hasen't exsisted in about 2 yrs.....
I would like to see them turn Jerry Lawler, heel what they was teasing this morning, but I see them dragging that out forever... Memphis needs a top heel now since Christopher is back with WWE.....
Corey, also needs to get some tag titles... Memphis was always considered the hot bed of tag teams.....
I would also like to see Corey, stop doing so many promos, get out there get your point across and that's it no one has to cut 20 promos during the show.... Stop all the promos and concentrate on the angles/ storylines.
I wouldn't mind if Corey, could get his ducks in a row to see Memphis Wrestling back to it's old original 90 minute timeslot. But not now it would be 100 promos then ;D.
Corey has alot of work to still do. It's sad to say but if they don't get there act together. I don't see them in business once there contract is up with UPN if UPN dosen't pull the plug before then.

I try to keep up with MW as much as possible.I need to catch up a bit maybe after i get done with my usual rounds on here i'll go over to Lawlers website and watch this weeks episode. As far what can be done to make the show better i agree that XWF gimmick needs to go i was glad to see the Southern title return as well as the TV title a tag team champoinship is definitley needed.Look into getting a syndication deal other than the 2 channels there and maybe a new name that would appeal to a national audience maybe revive the CWA name or somthing like that.

This started as a discussion of who we wanted to see in Memphis and has become almost an "ideas for improvement" thread. Personally, I think Memphis needs more heel managers. Jimmy Hart just isn't cutting it. He's hardly ever out there cutting promos and he's NEVER interfering in matches or involved in "angles." Not that there are many "angles." I mean, the stupid crap about the autographed jacket? Please. It's 2004 - not 1984. Do away with Hart and bring in local young guys who can and will work wrestling matches. They don't have to have big names. Lawler and Dundee are still around for name value. They always will be around. But I think at this point, there are enough diehard Memphis wrestling fans hanging around watching the show to keep it alive and that's all they are concerned with. They aren't trying to create stars, make money, or evolve the area into a new and exciting territory. I wish they would, though.

If they bring back the Beale Street Posse then they might as well bring back the Mean Street Posse. I do wish that they would of had AMW vs Moondog feud .
