We all know why Jerry Jarrett created the Memphis promotion, that was because he felt that George Gulas shouldn't have been pushed. I don't know, I never saw the guy wrestle, but by all accounts, he was bad. So was Jerry wrong to want to push his own son Jeff? Jeff was a fairly decent wrestler, but I feel he was pushed to the top, before he should have been. And were Jeff's outfits outrages or what?

The main difference is Jeff Jarrett HAS talent, whereas Gulas had NO talent. I think Jarrett did a good job and was brought along at a good pace. He started out as a referee and went from there. He had some good programs in his early days in Memphis and I thought did an outstanding job in WWA-Z until they ran out of ideas for him. I thought his Jarrett gimmick of just being Jarrett was the best in WWA-Z. His work went down abit I thought in WCW during the last months of the promotion as did everyones I believe. I'm not too sure about TNA as I don't watch it, but from what I've read, he should not be on top is the thoughts going around. But I can't say. Mark

Mark The stuff that I have read is he has a bit of HHH disease in TNA, as he wants to bury everyone. Just to be clear I wasn't dogging his talent, I just thought he was rushed up the food chain alittle too quick. I thought that then, and I think it now.

I don't think he really is, because as said, Jarrett has talent, and Gulas had none. He had the Erik Watts, David Sammartino, or David Flair syndrome.
As for HHH disease.
I think Triple H has made a near 180 in the past few months. He's jobbed for everyone and proved he is out for what I think is the better for Raw.
And well, some folks like Goldberg deserve to be buried.

I would be lying if I said I was a big fan of Jeff, because I am not. I thought in his early years, he went over guys that maybe he shouldn't have. I won't take anything away from JJ, he was a WCW champ, and who knows, if he stuck around, maybe a WWF/WWE champ.

I can't speak too much on this as i didn't see him in the early stages of his carreer.Didn't see him until his AWA debut which looking back now shows another example of Verne dropping the ball on a talented performer.Potential was there maybe pair him with Greg or turned him heel and had a decent fued.Could've even had Jerry came to Minneapolis and get invovled.Anyway as far as him getting pused too quickly i don't believe he was.I definitely think he would've been WWF champ had he stayed. His WCW run was successful and probably helped keep the promotion afloat. But i think had he stayed with Vince he would be at a HHH or Jericho status.

ok...being Jeff is my cousin,i can say this,he wasnt pushed into the biz.He traveled with me and my dad and started setting up the ring in the summer months when school was out..he then went to Aquanis College and got a scholarship to play basketball which he turned down and told his dad he wanted to wrestle..He then started ref'ing some matches while also training with Tojo Yammamoto in a VERY HOT barn(summertime) with a ring set up in it every morning at 7:30am til ?..Tojo taught Jeff everything he could.Man, the mornings when jeff didnt want to get up and Tojo would have to get him out of bed! ;D.."Boy,you been chasing girls all night havent you?..Get up!!!"This went on for a good while..then it came to Bill and Buddy roughing him up in memphis...Then the Boy Tony thing..then Tojo and Jeff vs The japs(Soto and Goto?) and tojo turning on Jeff as he did his father in the early 70's.That kid bled horrible that night i remember! Eventually the girls paid to see him...He traveled to just about every town i remember and the butts were in the seats to see him..Jordach(sp?)jeans wanted him as a poster guy for there jeans, which helped him even more with the winning over mostly a female fan following teaming with Pat tanaka and eventually Billy Travis, both whom he had success with..i guess you can say yes, they pushed him,but the fans bought it,it wasnt forced on them like "others".I imagine Jerry would have told him if he wasnt cut out to be a "wrassler" oh and unlike George Gulas,he NEVER EVER whined about the guys being too rough or stiff with him.I guess The only thing i can say Jeff hated about the biz was being the one to hand out "pink slips" sometimes to the guys when their time came for them to move on..He hated it.
