Who was the best USWA Southern Heavyweight Champion?
My favorite was Brian Christopher as a heel. I think his first couple of years with the USWA were gold, and really could have been something to build on. He had some really memorable matches with Jeff Jarrett during that period.

I agree with you...I loved BC as a heel...too bad WWE has him stuck in this shitty GMS gimmick...

I'll mention his name here as not being on the list of choices, but how abouot Eric Embry. He might not have been the best champ but I'd probably rank him above BJ Travis.

I found Embry to be rather bland in the ring and on the mic. Travis was entertaining. I think given the proper push, he could have been a great addition to the circus style sports entertainment. Mark
