hello fellow wrestling fans just joined the board looking forward to chatting about this great territory.as you can tell by the screename i grew up in florida watching cwf with the great gordon solie.my 1st exposure to memphis wrestling was in the form of a highlight package of you guessed it jerry the king lawler he was coming to the bay area for a few appearances and of all the highlights they showed featured probably one of the biggest feuds in that area lawler-funk including the now imfamous empty arena match. that led to a mini angle of sorts down here lawler wrestled funk in tampa funk won the match jj dillon was working as funk's manager came on tv here the following week with king's crown proclaiming himself king james dillon it was a hoot.anyways always wished we got memphis tv here we finally did with the uswa it iwas good but would've loved to have seen the angles and characters (good and bad) on a week to week basis especially the kaufmann angle thanks and peace
